9-Year-Old Asks Family To Take Him Too After Brother Gets Adopted Without Him

It is sad to accept the reality that there are still so many children in the foster care system. Some of them finally get adopted, but others don’t. The sad fact is that many of these children are siblings who don’t want to get separated but unfortunately, they can’t do anything if it happens. They would only wish that the family who adopted their brother or sister, would take them too.

This is exactly what this 9-year-old Oklahoma boy had pleaded in a recent interview by the local KFOR-TV after his brother got adopted by a family.
Nine-year-old Jordan has been in foster care for six years. After his brother was adopted, he took the interview as a chance to make a heartbreaking plea for the family to take him as well. Jordan expressed how painful it is to not have a family majority of his life. He added that only the children in the foster system would understand that feeling, and sadly, he is one of them.

A couple of years back, Jordan was interviewed with his brother. They were living in separate foster homes. When his brother was adopted, it became too difficult for them to see each other. When asked where he would go when given a chance to visit a place anywhere in the world, Jordan said, “To an adoption party for a home. I would just like to have a family to call mom and dad or just mom or just dad.

I don’t really care. The reason it’s important is because… so I could have some people to talk to anytime I need to. I hope one of y’all pick me. ”

Jordan has been living in a group home but ever since he was younger, he always wanted to be like other kids who have their own parents. So when asked what his three greatest wishes were, Jordan said, “To have a family, and family, family. Those are the only wishes I have.”

His interview went viral. But what he did was that this would change his life!
His pleas reached the hearts of many people who quickly stepped in to help. And it took less than 24 hours after the interview for thousands of people to call and ask about adopting Jordan.
Finally, his prayers were answered…

hristopher Marlowe knew that Jordan wanted to be as close to his brother as possible. He is Jordan’s Permanency Planning Worker and he said that the Oklahoma Department of Human Services was hoping that Jordan and his brother would be living in closer proximity.

Marlowe said, “His brother’s adoptive family has been agreeable to that, and even if things go well, they said they would be willing to take them out on day passes so they could spend some good quality time together. ” Marlowe also agrees that every child that’s been through foster custody has been through a whole lot compared to most kids.

That is why he is hopeful that this time, it would be Jordans’ turn to find himself a forever home.

And because of his viral video, all he’s got to do is to spend some time sorting through the thousands of adoption applications from people who expressed their interest in having Jordan in their lives.
Jordan has been through a lot in life at such a very young age. And like other kids in the foster care system, Jordan also deserves to have a good and loving family who would shower him with love and care, the things that he had been craving to feel all his life.
