Prince Harry sees soldiers as role models
Britain’s Prince Harry promises “unforgettable moments” at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf next year. Together with his wife Meghan, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson visited the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia on Tuesday, which plans to host the sports festival for war-disabled athletes in September 2023.
“I’m extremely impressed with everything I’ve seen so far,” Harry praised the preparations at a press conference in the Merkur Spiel-Arena, where most of the competitions are to be held.
Harry detailed the achievements of the soldiers who gave so much to defend democracy and civil liberties. “They are my role models,” said Harry. And that’s why these athletes deserved to be celebrated like great football stars. “The games are for them.”
